Nobunny/Jacuzzi Boys at the Knitting Factory
What a show to forget my camera. As each member of Nobunny took the stage, things got progressively goofier; the guitarist was wearing a Zorro mask, the bassist was wearing a Silence of the Lambs mask, the drummer was dressed kind of like a big baby, complete with oversized novelty bowtie, and Nobunny himself was covered in weird and creepy accessories. Of course, there was the bunny mask,...

Calories, “FFWD”
Super yes to this song. The VHS thing is an idea that I like, but I’m not buying it… IT’S NOT REAL!

Kronos Quartet/Gamelan Galak Tika with Kenge Kenge...

Sonic Youth/Grass Widow/Talk Normal at Prospect...
Urgent: Sonic Youth still awesome!
Thousands of people were packed into Park Slope’s Prospect Park just a few hours ago to see Sonic Youth perform a noiseful free concert as part of Celebrate Brooklyn. Some might even say the crowd was “totally gaying out” over the group. Idiocy aside, I would agree with that statement. People were real into what was happening at this...
