Cloud Becomes Your Hand - Rootabaga
Cloud Becomes Your Hand (Canada Goose Tapes

In his latest project, Cloud Becomes Your Hand, Bushwick-resident Stephen Cooper has created a blend of excited acoustic strummings and hi-tech (but low-tech) sounds that ends up creating some really interesting textures that really cover a lot of ground. Organic and synthetic sounds work together in a truly weird fashion on these songs, such that a really unique mind will really enjoy it, (but norms might not really have that much to hold on to [but then again, fuck norms]).

You can give a listen to “Rootabaga” at the top of this page, and after you have, grab the cassette from a fresh operation: Canada Goose Tapes. On there, you’ll find such mind-melters as “Piss on the Mouth of Hell,” current holder of the “Best Song-Title Ever” award that could pass for a long-lost Old time Relijun song and “Horse Meat,” another favorite of mine that could pass for a long-lost Super Mario World soundtrack piece.

On a related note, I am considering starting a label that only puts out novelty comedy tapes called Cassette Duck.
