Here we go. Are Accordion Crimes the only people to be featured on this blog three times? Eh, probably. I’m not going to go through the pain-in-the-ass search process to figure that out, but I’ll just say it’s true, and I’ll move on to say that it’s because Accordion Crimes are the sound of fucking mathematic immolation.

They’ve put out a new split 7-inch with fellow Denverites (Denverians?) Lion Sized, and I’m this close to deciding that from now on, I’ll only check out bands that do splits with Accordion Crimes. Both sides of this slab pound out heavy, aggressive thug-rock for the intelligent man-or-monster that are rivaled only by each other.

Oh, by the way, this anger-artifact was mastered by Bob Weston. You know, Bob Weston? But the version of Accordion Crimes’ “Academy” you hear on this page was not. You can only hear the Weston-mastered version on the vinyl, which, by the way, can be found here or here, or at an Accordion Crimes or Lion Sized show near you. No digital version available, vinyl only. Scrape some needles.
