You know what’s fucking great? When you get to have some awesome music all to yourself. I guess, ideally, I want to be the first person I know to be listening to some awesome new band, or something, but when that’s not possible, I do the next best thing.

Right now, I’m relistening to Marnie Stern’s last album, a year after everyone else I know is finished with it.  Rudely titled This Is It and I Am It and You Are It and So Is That and He Is It and She Is It and It Is It and That Is That, it’s full of neat stuff that I really enjoy, and, even though I did like it at the time of its release, I don’t think I really gave it the proper attention. So, now, I guess, I am.  And I think it’s much better than I initially gave it credit for - maybe even one of my top albums of 2008. So here’s one of the super awesome tracks from it. It’s called “Steely.”
