We got the new Times New Viking record, Born Again Revisited, at the station a couple of days ago, and it’s pretty solid.  It’s pretty lo-fi, though the media bit we received says it’s “25% higher fidelity” than their previous release… I think they’ve probably found the right amount of fuzz on this one.  Most of the album is pretty upbeat; these guys (and gal) definitely have a bit of pop-sensibility, but, as demonstrated by the track I’ve uploaded, they’ve got a good amount of edge in them.

Overall, it’s a pretty good album, but sometimes the vocals get a little pitchy, so a couple of points off for that.  That said, I think the record is going to get a good amount of play on my show for the next couple of weeks, so it’s not a huge issue.
