[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]The Spits, “The Princess is a Spider”
Haunted Fang Castle (Scion A/V Garage)

The Spits do progressive rock! Ever wonder what it would be like if you mixed the gunk-punk of the Spits with the medieval psychedelic-progressive storytelling sounds of the Moody Blues or early Rush? I can’t say that I did, but that’s not to say I’m uninterested in the results.
Those results come in the form of a five-song EP and companion picture-booklet. It’s like watching one of those old slideshows from grade school that went “bing” to signal the operator to hit the next slide (if your grade school was cheap as fuck and still had old slideshows in the curriculum). The only difference is that the story is like a sweet D&D campaign, and the soundtrack is gnarly punk rock.
I grabbed this one for free at a previous Scion Garage Show, and it looks like you can download the album, booklet and all, at their website. So, that’s nice of them.
