Monty Stark Passed Away at 69 Last Week. →

Monty Stark from Stark Reality died of cancer on Thanksgiving.  I’m familiar mainly with Stark Reality’s record Now, put out by Stones Throw, an absolutely amazing psych-jazz-rock tracks, all reworked version of children’s music written by Hoagy Carmichael.  It’s really one of the strangest, greatest records I’ve ever heard, and if you’ve not gotten the chance to give it a spin, you really need to.
