Scenic Abuse (Broken Rekids)
Honestly, with a name like DADFAG, I was a bit worried. But, I suppose that’s the point.
The group is made up of two cute girls handling guitar, bass, and vocals, and some beard-guy playing drums, and, y’know, with my judging a band by just the name, I was worried it was gonna be a bunch of juggalo-retards. So its good to find that they’re not. Scenic Abuse is an awesome mess of punk noise and no-wave female vocals. Songs range from grating noise to more straight-ahead punk, and it all works well. People into Lydia Lunch, Baby Guts, or perhaps even the Coathangers will probably find something to enjoy in this record.
My favorite song-title is “Tits,” because I’m an idiot.
