An Uncontrollable Urge Playlist 3/15/10

Today, when I arrived at the WMUA office, I found a cassette tape in my mailbox. It was from Charlotte, who you may remember as my valentine, and Andrea. They’ve called in to my program many times, asking for me to dedicate whatever song I had just played, or was about to play, to Charlotte. Apparently, they’ve been doing this with a few other DJ’s on the station, and the cassette, called “This is for you, Charlotte!,” is a compilation of several of these dedications, including some excellent Otto Fritz, and the previously referenced Valentine’s Day dedication, with bits of songs and some sweet, strange cassette noises mixed in as well. It’s fantastic. I might even go so far as to say it made all the time I’ve spent at WMUA worth it… well, that, and all the free music I’ve gotten. Thanks, girls!
